Front teeth matrix

Category:

Arc-shaped matrix strips are made of film (75 microns thick) and are designed for anterior teeth.

The advantage of these bands over metal matrix bands for front teeth is that they can wrap around both the sides of the mouth and the tongue.

This makes them particularly useful for Class 3 and diastema closure.

Arc-shaped matrix strips are available in 3 sizes:

1) 1.951 Universal Moth Tape. This tape has no edge and is typically used for Class 3 and 4 composite matrix.

2) 1.952 diastema/black triangle closure strip. This strip has a small ridge on the cervical surface that can be inserted into the gingival sulcus to create a new, steeper ridge profile. The ridge can be trimmed with scissors if necessary to accommodate the resulting ridge, but this is a medium ridge intended for immediate use in most clinical situations.

3) 1.953 Customizable Diastema/Black Triangle Tape. This tape has a raised edge on the cervical portion of the tape that can be inserted into the gingival sulcus to create a new steep ridge profile. The edge of this tape can be trimmed with scissors and will need to be customized to the clinical situation you are facing.
