AGATOS W slow-setting phosphate cement is a preparation consisting of powder and liquid, poured into a single package. The main component of the powder is zinc oxide, and the main component of the liquid is orthophosphoric acid, which, when mixed in appropriate proportions, form basic zinc phosphate.
AGATOS W is primarily intended for cementing crowns, bridges and post and core implants, as well as as a temporary filling material for deciduous teeth. In the case of deep caries, it is recommended to place a liner (calcium hydroxide-based preparation) between the cement and the dentin.

How to handle the product
The cement should be mixed on the surface of the frosted glass tile with a stainless steel or chrome-plated steel trowel. The tools must be perfectly clean and dry. The powder should be added to the liquid in small portions (never the other way around), carefully mixing and grinding to a paste consistency. Heat may be released when mixing the cement and setting it in the cavity; This is a normal phenomenon resulting from the chemical reaction responsible for setting the cement. In order for the cement to maintain its proper quality, the following conditions must be observed when working with the cement:
The powder and liquid are mixed in a ratio of 1.30 g powder / 0.83 g liquid; Maintaining these proportions is very important to obtain the correct cement parameters, also because cement mixed with too much liquid can irritate the dental tissues. Description of the operation
AGATOS W is very easy to work with, has high compressive strength when hardened and is resistant to the erosive effects of water, saliva and food compounds. It is characterized by a longer setting time and low shrinkage, as well as good adhesion and relative harmlessness to surrounding tissues. The compressive strength of the bound cement is min. 50 MPa.
Storage conditions
Store in tightly closed containers, protected from moisture. Do not store below 8°C as the liquid may crystallize. Keep out of the reach of children.
When opening powder and liquid packages for the first time, special attention should be paid to carefully closing the packages after taking other portions of the material to avoid deterioration of the product's quality parameters.
Store at a temperature of 8-25°C.
