\nO-Bite, with a Shore A hardness of 93.3, is the hardest bite registration material based on A-silicone. The high final hardness of the material is particularly important when transferring bite registration to models in the articulator to ensure a perfect fit of the restorations.<\/p>\n
Softer silicones flex or compress, making precise articulation impossible. This can lead to unwanted occlusal elevation, which requires time-consuming grinding. Direct placement of an oversized restoration can cause significant discomfort in the temporomandibular joint.<\/p>\n
Excellent fracture resistance
\nThanks to the vinyl silicone matrix developed by DMG, O-Bite has excellent fracture resistance. The bonding structure of the A-silicone-based material is achieved by silicone chains of uniform length, which contribute to the exceptional stability of the bonding structure during curing.
